Joana Miranda Studio features the ink and watercolor illustrations of urban sketcher and cartoonist Joana Miranda.
I draw with ink. My focus is usually on interesting architecture as well as people, cats, dogs, birds, and yes - sometimes even mice! My whimsical art can be seen here, in my shop at Etsy, online at Cartoonstock.com, and as part of permanent museum exhibits in Texas and North Carolina.
Since 2019, I have created monthly illustrations for Financial Information Technology Focus magazine in Japan. In addition, my single panel cartoons have been published in magazines in the USA, UK and Ireland.
In my 16 years living in New York City, my illustrations were featured multiple times on the ArtOnLink/Link NYC kiosks. In addition, I participated in live sketching events at high end boutiques in SOHO.
I now reside in Oberlin, Ohio where I happily bike around town sketching the quieter pace of life.
